Default Eddie Mathews

He's Ed Mathews on his Topps issues but the 53 Bowman I have lists him as Eddie Mathews.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned SF Giants shortstop, the late Jose Uribe, who played under the name Jose Gonzalez at the beginning of his career (due to variations in Spanish nomenclature).

The first time he came up to bat against the Mets, after announcing his name change, Mets announcer Tim McCarver said, "he's literally the player to be named later."

Thats also how the entire Rojas family became the Alous. At least until the recently fired Mets manager reclaimed it.

One I forgot and then re-remembered, Freddie Patek/Fred Patek.
