Default T3 Turkey Reds

Catching up again. Sorry for the different colors. A bit deceiving, just taken with a different phone, scanner, etc at different times in different light.

Craig, does only one of the McIntyre variations have the no offer back? If so, which one, the one that came out later which I assume is the one with both Brooklyn and Chicago listed?

The McIntyre - Brooklyn card was corrected very early on in the production of T3s and will only be found with the 1-75 checklist back. The Brooklyn & Chicago updated version will be found with the 1-75, 1-76 and No-Ad backs.

Anyone pick up any of the T3s in the Love of the Game Auction? A PSA 1 Cobb (nice looking except for the pinholes) went for $7200 which seems pretty low to me.

I had bid on 76 of the T3 lots on day #1, so I could further the pursuit during extended bidding.
Bid on a few dozen more at midnight & woke up to find I won 5 of them.

I thought the Cobb was about right if a little high. I've been actively bidding on them, but I passed on that one after $6k. That's still a lot of $ for a card so you'd better be happy with it. I did pick up 3 T3's on the lower end, which was far fewer than I was bidding on overall. Prices were pretty strong, congrats to Al on what seems to me to be a very successful auction.

Not a great Wiltse on the front, but the back is where the coolness is

I guess I expected the Cobb to go for more since the picture was very nice and the grade was due to the pinholes. It will be interesting to see what the Cobb in REA goes for. It's graded AA and also has a very nice picture but it has some color added to one corner and a crease in another corner.

Cy Young for today

I agree, the image was very nice. I would say 3 out of 4 people I have ever met who collect the set are a hard stop at pinholes, which really sucks since so many have them. The pinhole through the name plate was an extra bummer.

Cy Young.

Oh, and pinholes on T 3’s can be very minor and i often don’t mind them, preferable to a big crease or lots of dirt or wear.

I'm ok with pinholes as well, though not so much when they look more like nail holes
