YUM! brands throwback

But yes, when I saw the commercial during the WS, I would have expected them to have cards. But then I realized the logistics of printing cards immediately and having them sent out to a few thousand locations. Very unlikely.

There was a radio station in LA that gave away a Toyota. The woman who won was thrilled. Until they gave her a Yoda doll. They claimed that it was all a joke, and the DJ was saying "Toy Yoda." I believe after all the really bad publicity they got they ended up giving her the car.

I seem to remember articles from the beginning of the pandemic about fistfights in store parking lots over boxes of cards. It was between adults too, not kids.

Back then you could bust them, send every single card to PSA, get a 10 on every single card, and get rich. There was incentive to fight.

I vaguely remember a similar story about 100 Grand candy bar, don't remember the details.

Default Taco Bell

I, too, saw the commercial on TV and I thought Taco Bell was giving away packs of cards. I didn't watch the YouTube video and analyze the commercial, I just saw the ad several times on TV.

I thought about driving to Taco Bell, because I enjoy their food, but the nearest Taco Bell is 30 miles away, so I didn't pursue it.

I would have been pissed about it if I had made a 60 mile round trip only to find out that the commercial was bullshit.
