I like the T205 Cobbs.
Sharp looking cards and alot of variation on the backs.

and auction houses also have them for auction

You have to look and be patient because some people like to over price them on ebay
But the last 3 sold on ebay in that range PSA 1's went for

1's can have wild deviations in visual appeal. Yes, I like the T205 Cobb suggestion too..

The B-18s are still affordable if you are ok with something a little less cardlike.
Finding a really nice one might take some time, but easily fits that budget.

A silk that is lower grade but looks good might just be doable.

My first time ever hearing of or seeing this one. GORGEOUS item and, wow, probably the best 1.5 I've ever seen. Awesome!

Default Another vote for T205

Or T206 - low grade high eye appeal

Cards for sale: https://www.flickr.com/photos/185900663@N07/albums

I am actively buying and selling vintage sports cards graded and raw. Feedback as a buyer: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=297262

I am accepting select private consignments of quality vintage cards (raw or graded) and collecting "want" lists for higher end ($1K+) vintage cards.
