I sent you a PM earlier with the description.
Here is the ad/order form that mikesplace30 talked about.

I believe each market area had a different player in the ad. Yogi Berra in this one. I recall in the Philly area it was Art Mahaffey.

Strange more of these have not shown up over the years, especially with some of the superstars like Aaron being available.

Thanks mikesplace30!

So now that you all have seen this does anyone have others players to post?

Were the ads in magazines or an insert in the local paper?

Default acme ad

The ad with Yogi Berra is printed on newspaper stock. I am not the original owner but i am guessing it came from one of those supplements they used to put in the Sunday paper as the size of the ad is consistent with that and the backside has a story on world jamborees.

Apparently, the ad ran in Boys Life magazine.

The ad itself is great! Love it!

I managed to land the Berra advertisement. The ad appears in the July 1963 issue of Boy's Life. I believe that July is the only month when the ad ran. I asked sellers of the July issue if the ad was present in the magazine. I asked a seller of the complete 1963 Boy's Life run and the ad was not in any issue. A seller from Maine and Oregon said the ad was not in the issue. The magazine I landed was from NJ. Granted it is a small sample but I think the ad only appeared in major markets. Although the sellers claimed that all pages were intact, the ad could have been removed. I have yet to find any other player besides Berra depicted in the ad.

Acme stores were only in the northeast Pennsylvania Connecticut New Jersey NewYork Delaware Maryland. So makes sense ad was found in NJ Boys Life. So either this was a regional "Acme" issue or the same promotion was sold to other supermarket chains. Given the large player participation maybe it was in other markets.
Great thing about threads like this they come back to life down the road.

Could you maybe post bigger pic or scan of the right side, which shows all the players available?

Wow….200 bucks as player compensation. Gerrit Cole made about $65,000 for every out he recorded this season.
