Was happy with my bounty. Got the 1941 Play Ball Greenberg for the PC and the 67 Seaver for inventory

Default First timer, thx Al!

Although I missed out on all of Foxxy choices (33 Delong, 41 Playball or 33 Tattoo orbit) I connected with Al who was super patient with my rookie auction questions - I’ll be ready next time

Thx Al - and congrats to the winners. Sadly, back to EBay for me 😬

Was more than a little delighted with the results of my consignments. Al continues to run one of the most profession and honest auctions in the hobby, and I will to continue to favor him with the bulk of my cards for sale.
On the other side of the equation, I was fortunate enough to pick up: the Yum Yum Dealsey, the Berk Ross Jackie, E94 Cicotte, '50 Bowman Williams and the Wilson Franks Williams.
Thanks, Al, for yet another great auction.

Gorgeous item. I am friends with the artist and her husband here in Vancouver.

I won 2 lots - the pair of 1942 WS tickets and the 1926 game 3 WS ticket.

That's a very cool Star Trek 35th Shatner-Nimoy card! Don't look now, but some of the auto and sketchfx cards from that set can get kind of pricey. Yours is awesome. If I didn't have these, I would be darned envious! I got the Joanne Linville (Romulan Commander) at Comic-Con in San Diego a few years ago. My Shatner-Nimoy plaque I got at Tate's Comics in Ft Lauderdale. Nice pick-up sir!

Thanks James! Yours are so cool! It’s fun that this hobby can extend into so many different areas. I’m a huge baseball fan and card collector of the vintage stuff but certainly enjoy some of the entertainment industry items as well. I’ve been watching Star Trek since I was a little kid and I’m glad that these cards are available for me to enjoy. So happy to pick this up.

Default Pops

Small potatoes compared to most of the pickups here, but he was my favorite player when I was a kid, and it’s my first Venezuelan Topps.

Spock is the patron saint of Aspergers folks like me and my daughter.

On one occasion my wife (who is neurotypical) was in a snit and blurted out that living with my daughter and me is like living with two Vulcans. My daughter said "She's highly illogical. Why did you marry her?" I replied "It seemed like the logical thing to do at the time." My wife was not amused...Humans, am I right?

I would add The Three Stooges to that list. Still waiting to meet a female fan.

And if you delve into music, Devo is another that can quickly kill a first date.

At my brother's wedding, I concluded my toast with "live long and prosper," to mixed reviews.

My best story along those lines happened with a date at the movies watching "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." She sat stone-faced through most of it while I was flailing around in my seat with laughter, then announced during the "Black Knight" scene that she was leaving. If she hadn't also been a friend and co-worker, I probably would have just let her go. "None shall pass!" indeed. Had a similar experience watching "Dr. Strangelove" with a lady, who didn't see the humor in a single second of it. Good lessons in how different from one another we can be in our perceptions and tastes.
