The issue for many is that the banks have daily limits on what you can send each day. That could be a problem if the purchase is over the limit and also if the Auction House does not want to deal with multiple payments over multiple days and the accounting end of it. Pay pal is fine with me. Has protection, has fees but it allows me to pay by credit card with the Services offer where with Friends and Family it is considered a cash advance and very expensive
