If you're having issues with your account after making friends & family payments, it's most likely due to something else. I've sent and received hundreds of transactions, possibly even a thousand or more, with people via PayPal friends & family in other hobbies and from playing poker or fantasy sports with friends. We use it all the time. Transactions ranging from $20 to $20k+, all via friends & family. Many of those even being international transfers. Granted, it's a much closer and trustworthy community of people than the sports card hobby, but I have never had issues with my account and neither have my friends.

Zelle is great for friendly transactions. No fees and as you said, instant funds. I offer it to my clients to pay my bills and several of them are using it.

I recently used it to pay Lelands and REA and I even took a Zelle payment at the National.

If one uses a service, then lies to get out of paying for that service, its really nothing more than stealing. I know many disagree with me and that's fine. JMO
