Thank to FB Rob for sharing this tip with bocca and to bocca for sharing it with me. 1/2 cup of Oxyclean in a couple of inches of pretty warm bath water for about 3 hours. These pics don't do the results justice. These crappy, synthetic 80s pennants look much better! I cheaped out and bought the generic Oxyclean
. Also, for my last two in the bath, I'm thinking upside down may work better, so the "holder downers" are not on the graphics side. Edit: now that I've reviewed my pictures, I see that they really don't do justice to the results. You'll have to believe me.
