Seemed like the OJs were really strong in REA and are moving up nicely now.

I bought mine (attached) in the last REA auction and was very unhappy to see another come out so soon thereafter; often when that happens with rare cards, the second card sells for less than its predecessor (see t206 speaker drum that sold last night for $6k+ less than what I bought a same-grade example for at auction a few weeks ago). However, in this case, last night’s RedStockings CDV sold for about 20% more than what I got mine for (same grade and similar quality). Needless to say, I was happy with the comp

I find it interesting that, despite Kevin Struss’ excellent and, I think, definitive analysis of the priority of issues for the team card, auction houses don’t seem to make any distinction. I don’t know how to incorporate threads here, but Kevin’s analysis is on here.

I saw that Louisville Pete Browning Old Judge shoot up a lot in extra time. Nice to see some great results for 19th century rarities.
