Great Cards and some great Teams

unfortunately I only have to players currently in my collection so

I will have to cheat a little and this will be my "team" since it is a "team" card

Only way I can fill out the positions

Default from my meager pre-war collection

some selections were made for variety (I could have chosen several from my '34 Gold Medal Foods set). And I don't currently possess Large-Ass Herzog, but I figured he was a worthy exception.

Subject to change, obviously. Outfield in particular was tough as heck. Just as easily could have put in a Kaline, Mays, Ashburn, Aaron, Williams, Clemente, etc, etc, etc....
But I decided to focus on some childhood favorites as well. And the Al Hrabosky is a favorite because he signed it as "The Mad Hungarian." My grandparents were Hungarian immigrants.

Large Ass is a worthy exception. Where is he now? I haven't seen anyone update that thread in a while.

I'll give this a go:

Mgr. - Stanley "Bucky" "The Boy Wonder" Harris, manager of the 1924 W.S Champion Senators in his 1st year a manager!!
C - Yogi "It ain't over, 'til it's over" Berra. IMHO, Yogi was more valuable to the Yankees than "The Mick."
P - Walter "The Big Train" Johnson (who else?!!).
1st B. - Mickey Vernon, A.L. batting champ in 1946 & 1953, my 2nd most favorite player when I was a kid.
2nd B. - Pete Runnels, A.L. batting champ in 1960 & 1962, my most favorite player when I was a kid.
3rd B. - Eddie "The Walking Man" Yost, had 1,863 hits & 1,614 walks for a .394 OBP.
LF - Ted "The Splendid Splinter" Williams, whom I saw hit a homer at old Griffith Stadium when I was a kid.
CF - Edgar Charles "Sam" Rice, I'm working on a master set of his cards.
RF - "Babe" Ruth (this list wouldn't have any credibility without "The Babe").
