I certainly was not expecting the white lines to be on a baseball card!

Where is Grandmaster Flash when you need him?

Ideally, to satisfy the centering freaks, this Cobb would have equivalent lines coming in from the right border.

The market today is definitely not where it was back in April. I think this card would have a ceiling of a 4 without the white marks. A realistic value on it today in a 4 holder is probably about 20k and as it currently sits, I think it would outsell most 2s, probably because as others have pointed out, this card screams "potential" to all the Van Goghs out there in the hobby. They would probably all compete pretty heavily for a chance to make this their next masterpiece. I think it sells closer to 8-9k today. So the white lines are "worth" about 12k per my estimate.

The card is beautiful and luckily those lines are off to the side. IT is amazing how much those lines or any imperfections can so dramatically affect the value of the card.
But it is a great card for any T206 collection

Apart from the white lines, with the current expressed centering obsession on this forum, I'm surprised that only one member suggests that this card is worth more than the average 2 and only if a Van Gogh is the buyer.
Buy the flip still rules I guess. A 2 is a 2 is a 2 and a 4 is a 4 is a 4. Right??? ![]()
