I’m not sure I would want to see a Dodgers museum and I’m not sure Mr. Cypres would let me in…..but is this place open to the public?

P.S. I guess the d**gers didn’t feel they could catch the Giants with only 17 All-Stars on their roster.

Rob, it is actually much more than a Dodgers museum. Gary's Dodger stuff is incredible (the best Dodger collection in existence without question), but he also has rooms devoted to other teams and sports. We just rushed through the Yankees rooms, passed by a wing devoted to Ruth, and yes, the giants are represented as well.

While the museum used to be open to the public, it is now closed. I met Gary years ago when we both loaned items to the Dodger Stadium pop-up museum (he loaned over 95% of the items shown there and still loans items for exhibit in the stadium), and he graciously allows me to visit the museum from time to time.

BTW, most of the pennants on exhibit are simply nailed to the walls. The Campy pennant pictured above is framed because it will be part of an exhibit Gary is putting together of Negro League players which will be on display at the Stadium.

I take it the galleries on his website are just there to tease us? I see he has a Los Angeles Rams one. Not seeing it will haunt me until I finally breakthrough. Anyone get them to open?

Found pictures and video on their facebook page. Not a lot and not very good quality, but I saw "some" of the Rams stuff. I guess I'll add this to the itinerary for my next Rams game.

Thanks for posting that interview. Amazing.

Are there bigger private collections out there?

Recent pick-up of one of the 1963 Dodger pennants that Kyle wrote about on his blog. Unfortunately it was sash-less. Luckily Kyle could help me out and bring the pennant back to life.

That’s a crazy amount given all that’s missing from it. Not making me feel optimistic about getting a Dodgers or Red Sox should another appear ….

Default Epic Pennant Being Auctioned

I hate to out an auction, but this one is so extraordinary and I know so many here would be interested in bidding...that it just seems too selfish to stay quiet about it. Good luck all.
