Default Scarce "Type" Cards

1871 Troy Haymaker Scorecard

This Player photo / Scorecard is rarely seen. It is not the most aesthetically appealing piece; however, it's historical value and scarcity are very significant.

The Troy Haymakers participated in the first professional pennant race of 1869. They joined the first BB professional league (National Association) in 1871.
Their 1871 W-L record was 13 - 15. In 1872, they improved with a 15 - 10 W-L record (5th place standing). This was their last season due to their claim of
insufficient funding.

Pictured here is William "Clipper" Flynn....BA = .338 in the 29-game season of 1871.
