It took awhile to get a July Pickups thread going, but it was worth the wait.
Great sign, and I love the way the numbers are applied on that helmet!

Wow impressive stuff! I can’t compete with those gems but I’m pleased to add this Bob Prince Stein to my collection after a bit of a dry spell. Tomorrow I’m flying in to help out at the Clemente museum this week. The Pirates are honoring the 1971 team on Saturday and I will be in attendance “collecting” some great memories.

Great Stein! May you use it to enjoy an ice cold Iron City. I can still hear Bob urging a very young me to drink "beer after beer after Iron City beer." I am tempted to go to the game on Saturday. Will any of the 1971 players be there? I'm not sure I how I would feel about seeing how they look 50 years on. In my mind, they are still the great, young athletes of 1971. (Except for Blass and Sangy, since I'm used to seeing them).

I believe that a few of them will be in attendance. I plan on being there nonetheless and will tip a few beers myself, maybe not Iron City unless have an IPA now.

I picked up this one for my Saints collection. He was in St. Paul from 1919 to 1921, before going back to the Yankees in time for the 1921 World Series.

Those old bats are so pretty. I'm wondering what gave them that gorgeous color?

Default Redman Voucher

I picked this up this week. It's the part of the voucher that was sent in when enough tabs were collected from Redman cards to redeem for a cap. I'd not seen one for sale before. It'll go nicely with the run of 52-55 Redman sets that I'm working on.
