Encased Tintype Images
I apologize for the size and resolution of the pics, but here are three cased tintypes from our collection. If anyone's interested, I'd be happy to take and add better images.

I always have more difficulty dating tintypes more than anything else, but I think there are 2 very early one at least, Leon’s with the long coats, and Jon’s with the dark tops. But, that is just a quick thought. Very nice things no matter when they are from.

I wanted to re-post this one as the size and clarity of the one from last night didn't do it justice. While its by no means the earliest or valuable of examples, I'm very fond of it. I picked it up for $11 at an antique show when I was 12 years old...have had it for 30 years now!

So, I was perusing ebay this evening and came across a tintype that depicts the very same subjects seen in Leon's post above. Its the same 4 guys minus the long coats and in different poses, but they've still got the bat and bow.
