SABR.org: "In 1980 Manning won the Baseball Writers’ Association of America “Good Guy” Award.17 In 1999 he was inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame.18 In 2014 he was awarded the Cleveland Association of Broadcasters Excellence in Broadcasting Award.19 In 2017 he was inducted into the Greater Cleveland Sports Hall of Fame. The Cleveland Indians include Manning in their all-time top 100 list for the ballclub."20
