That plus with the information RUKen provided I would guess it's possible it could be from their opening home game/stand of 1906 which looks like was against the Cardinals in April? I think it was a general practice of taking team photos on their first home game of the season...but could be wrong just a guess

It's a very nice looking early season photo for sure!

The games with the Cardinals began on April 17th, before Gessler was with the team. The first home stand that included Gessler began on Saturday, May 12th, against Brooklyn. (Unless Sunday, May 6th, was really a home game against the Pirates in the middle of four other games played in Pittsburg. I suspect that the May 6th game was in Pittsburg and the Pirates chose to bat first, an option that was available at that time.)
