Not a new one by any means, but realized I had never scanned it and therefore never could've shared it, so here it is.....
Very nice 3 - I expected a 4-5 from this since there are no creases or back issues at all, but I guess they really didn't like the wear on the corners?? At the current prices, I most assuredly won't be playing any re-sub games - not selling anyway so it doesn't matter! |

Came across this while looking for other things and said hey why not.

TPG's have always been very tough on these. Almost rendering the grades meaningless. A tiny pinhole is a 1 on these.........and folded 6 times is a 1 on these. It's all about eye appeal on the T9's. Beautiful card! |

I had to fight it out to win this low grade Don Eagle card which completes my 1950/60 wrestling exhibit set (not counting the checklist)

Nice, Larry! That's the last one on my list, too.

Picked up this Floyd signed auxilary pass from his fight with Gatti, Arturo grew up in the same neigbourhood as me, His brother Joe and I were friends in the the late 70's to mid 80's before he moved to New Jersey to pursue his boxing career , I remeber going with him and Arturo around 1980 to the Olympic boxing club on Park avenue in Montreal where they both trained, Arturo was about 8 or 9 years old , he was quite a sight on the speed bag, included is a photo Arturo personalised to me the day before his fight against Joe Hutchinson, his only pro fight fought in his home town of Montreal

I remember watching that fight against Hutchinson on Friday Night Fights. It was a great scrap. Lil Joe did more then hold his own against Gatti. Funny that Gatti was on the same card with two of the Hilton brothers that night. I'm pretty sure those two families really hated each other. In an almost Hatfield/McCoys or Capulets/Montagues type of way. I was lucky enough to be at the first two Gatti/Ward fights. |
