National may be in peril

The "Biggest" Issue about moving the NSCC at this point to an "Open" State is to remember we would have to get in line behind events already scheduled for those places which had been pushed back.

Hate to say this but the NSCC can not just snap their fingers, say we want to run a show and the waters open up for us. We have to wait out turn.

Move the show to Texas. Are the open states booked with events? Doubtful. Someone with alittle grit might be able to get this done.

Let’s all Be Realistic this Year the National Can’t and Wont Be moved to a different location, it’s just to late. However in he future I hope we can chose states such as Texas, Florida, Tennessee, and Nevada... Just my Two Cents.

As far as moving it goes, the RNC was moved from North Carolina to Florida less than 3 months out from the convention date. We are 4 months out from the National, and the RNC is much bigger and there were fewer options available last year.

As someone who lives in Jacksonville and is familiar with the scramble that went on regarding the RNC - that was a F-ing disaster.

I reviewed our PMs from the 2019 convention and I have to admit, I’m baffled by your comments in this thread. You took the Blue Line downtown on a magnificent summer day and took in the sights out city provides, and you thanked me for helping you navigate that trip. You need got give Illinoisans the benefit of the doubt. We’re trying and doing our best to make things better, back to the way they were. We deserve respect.

There are many things I am really looking forward to doing this summer; first and foremost getting out and seeing a handful of baseball games. Everyone will make their own decisions, but getting into a confined indoor space with a few thousand people looking over each others' shoulders ain't high on my list. But others obviously will make different calls based on their own views.
