I know everyone says new holders sell better, but remember a reholder you have the same cert# so anyone who is doing their homework is going to know it's an old grade. Frankly I have had a huge collection of mixed PSA broken up over my last several auctions even so far back as the old dot matrix flips and I haven't seen a massive prejudice against older holders when it comes to the money people were willing to spend.

I would 100 percent not reholder unless the slabs are damaged.

I think at first the cards that i saw in the new holders seemed to be much tougher grades (most noticeable on T3’s i was watching). But lately it doesnt seem to be as much difference in toughness, and i dont see a performance difference at auction. Perhaps it has a lot to do with people reholdering?? |

No, definitely not. Very costly. Risk of further damage. Also, doesn't the reslabbed card keep the same old registration #? If so, experienced buyers will know it came from an old slab.

If you are stinking rich and don't mind waiting two years to get your cards back, then go for it.
