OK so finally saw some pictures.
1. They are real 2. They are not grossly altered (nothing that jumps out from amateur camera phone pics) 3. The grading (as Brian guessed) seems pretty spot on in the low grades but the 6's and 7's look more like 4s and 5's. 4. That's not a bad thing! The Cobb Bat off might be a 5. I'd be pretty happy with that! 5. There are at least some Tolstoi and Cycle backs but I don't know what cards they belong to. Looks like I'm headed to see them in a couple weeks!
