Most posters on this board would never admit to collecting reprints. Many won't even acknowledge their existence.
But for those who either cannot or choose not to spend ridiculous amounts of money on small bits of cardboard, reprints can be quite nice. They can even be a gateway to collecting the real thing. The T206 set can be bought on ebay, and is recommended if you like that era. The E120 American Caramel set is also a good one, as the card stock and other elements make it very close to the original (aside from the word "reprint" on the back).
