At least a dozen good alternatives available daily on FM in the Western New York / Southern Ontario market
-- "classic rock," "moldy oldies," "new alternative," "top 40," rap / hip-hop, country -- although yeah, several go to way too much "morning zoo" / DJ jibberjabber on the morning drive time-slots. Biggest recent disappointment in regional radio here was one of the stations jettisoning the nationally syndicated JACK format for all-heavy-metal-all-the-time. JACK was (is) our favourite -- excellent constantly-mixed playlist of '60s-'70s-'80s-'90s "classic" and the funniest station promo spots ever.
