I lived/worked in Mexico City 1979-80, and was delighted to find magazines like Beisbol, Hit, and Super Hit on the street news stands. What was even more impressive was that it wasn't at all unusual to find copies of magazines that were 8-10 years old! My Spanish was very limited, so I didn't ask questions - I just bought whatever they had. I got the impression that if an edition didn't sell, they just left if on the stand until it did!
I was especially interested to find copies of Quien es Quien - the Mexican version of Who's Who in Baseball. And yes, I still have them all somewhere.
