opinions on the goudey ruth

Bought this one last year. Unfortunately funds are limited and I'm after a couple other cards. Otherwise I would.

These recent prices on Goudey Ruth's are making the Gehrig's look cheap.

If one assumes the card hasn't been trimmed, then this is not a 3, it is likely a 5 or 6. So, maybe SGC saw the erasure (hard to tell if there is one without having it in hand) and docked it the 2 points to give it a 3 because they don't have the PSA MK designation.

The Gehrigs are surging, too. Looks like 3s are flirting with 6k and a nice 3 could have been copped off eBay for around $2750 last year. Heck I remember the green PSA 4 I found on the BST was sitting for a few days and it was being offered for a few hundred south of the prior sale for the grade at the time. I found myself going back to look at it every day and so pulled the trigger— glad to have caved in.
