You can check out my Orr panel on the PSA registry. I have scans of all the panels up.

I saw the Goldin Auction ended on the Orr USA Test rookie, hoping it ended where you wanted.

Can't complain. It's a record for the grade.

Wow, $87,330.00! That's a great haul! Makes me wonder what my lower graded PSA 6 would bring. Comparing mine to yours our scans don't look very different LOL! Main difference would be mine has worse top to bottom centering.

Congrats. I was following your card and also the 2 sequentially numbered Heritage Orr Test card. Glad to see yours made history.

I have a feeling a regular Topps Orr in a PSA 8 should hit six figures or close to it. The last one sold for $85K at Goldin. What's crazy to me is that a PSA 8 Bill Russell in the same auction went for over $300K but the Orr hasn't even broken $100K in the same grade. Definitely keeping my other Orr stuff long term.

I think a sudden surge in supply in the market didn't help.
1x PSA 7 Test and 1x PSA 8 Test sold the week before in Heritage. And then your 1x PSA 8 Test came to auction the next week. Goldin's website did crash just before 10pm which may/may not have affected your final sell price. They did extend the auctions 1 hr and 15min to compensate. Did Goldin charge 5% commission on the sale or were you able to get a better rate since its a hockey featured item? |
