Provenance note when acquiring cards

There was a time that I didn’t part with any of my cards. My wife changed my ideas on it. Said I was a hoarder not a collector. I couldn’t tell you what I had or where it was. Didn’t look at most of them ever. Just a handful.

I have since paid bills, paid for vacations, and paid for gifts with them. I’ve traded and sold to get other cards I wanted as well. It was quite freeing actually.

I’m trading doubles to billed sets.

There are a few regrets but not many. Miss my Jimmy Foxx card, my Hank Aaron rookie, my mantles. But in turn I really like my complete 53 color bowman set, 1959 Topps set, my Clemente run, and my hoard of 1909 Pirates cards.
