Absolutely right. They are most likely in horrible shape. Problem is that it's the only card anyone wants from the set. Some other stars in it but it's only about Wayne.

Regardless of the price, they are really neat items. Especially with the centering on both cards. I think the wax can easily be removed, but the top card is more prone to damage than the cards in the middle, so as far as value is concerned, that has to weigh in on it a bit. PSA 7's are more likely than PSA 9's or 10's, so IMO each pack is worth 25-50k. The corners on those cards usually take a little bit of a hit. Not always, but usually.

It's fishing. Been going on since the inception of eBay. I've seen the same card listed for 10 years straight without the seller changing the price a dollar up or down. Whatever floats their boat...

I seen BMW cards at the Toronto Expo for the first time 6-7 yrs ago, maybe longer, and I will never forget the prices of some of the cards he/they had for sale!

I was collecting 52 Topps cards at the time and to say he had some really nice ones would be an understatement, but his/their prices, imo, were over the top crazy!!
I got a price on severely OC ungraded Ritchie Ashburn card and it was at least 3-4 times current market value at the time. Needless to say, I walked away rather quickly.
I always thought/wondered, with the price of tables, the travel, etc, how they could ever make money, let alone recoup their costs for coming to this show, but then again, seeing as they are still around, I guess they are doing something right?

I'm just guessing here but I'd go out on a limb thinking potential buyer(s) would be keeping these sealed and not ripping open the packs.
