Thanks Andy,
Funny part is I probably have more $$ in the Newsboy and Texas Tommy than the 6 "kid" cards. Sad part is I had a 14CJ Wagner and a 48 Musial with that group that I sold for $600 when I was a young man on hard times. All part of fun collecting stories. Hope you and the family are well. |

Picked this up from Turner over in the BST section. A goal for this year was to add a T210 or T211 Memphis player to the collection, so it's nice to have that knocked out within the first two weeks. Very excited about this one.
(Haven't gotten around to scanning it myself, so just borrowing the scan from the BST post)

Universal Toy & Novelty Co. printed a variety of 10-card strips in the 1919-21 era that include these W529-1 boxers. Note the title text on the middle cards of their strip; all 1919-21 Universal boxing strips appear to be W529-1s. Seven of these arrived this week, cutting my needs to #6 Fulton and #9 Dempsey. Fingers crossed I can finish it off this year.

Really pleased to add these Sport Kings this weekend
The Cobb was the final image I was after for my Cobb run, but I'm sure I'll get sucked in again at some point...

Nothing fancy or expensive, but I like pre-1920s photo postcards of everyday folks playing baseball.

Nice! Just got my 1921 Chas O’Leary back from SGC today. Only got an A but that is fine. With that said, I am done submitting to SGC. Fortunately I also got my silks and T210 back non graded as with the way they were dropping the ball, was not quite sure what was going to happen. Going to try CSG for the silks and T210 as they seem reasonable and they actually have someone answering the phone and returning phone calls.

I've been a bit obsessed in obtaining a Johnson portrait for a while now. Had to be a 150 SGC green label with strong borders and good centering. The way the value of this card is increasing and good examples are becoming more scarce I thought I may have missed the "Train". For me, this one hit all the marks. .
