That Baker is stunning. I have sold or traded most of my Type 1 photos. I had far too many and decided to keep only those I found aesthetically pleasing These are some of my favorites I've managed to hold on to. Completely agree... what an artistic candid shot! Other museum-worthy photos include the HR Baker, Plank, Sisler/Hornsby, Bottomley/Hafey, and too many others to mention.

That's quite a collection Jeff. Seeing those makes me wish I hadn't sold so many of my photos. Here some others that I held onto.

A while back I purchased a large collection of 35mm original slides that were shot by James Drake of Sports Illustrated. These are my favorites. I know I am biased but I believe these are some of the most beautiful portraits of Clemente I have ever seen. As you may know the 1971 iteration of Roberto is my sweet spot so these are special to my collection. I have no idea what they are now worth but I wouldn’t ever sell them. Thanks for indulging me.

Mike, those photos are outstanding! I wanted to mention that any photo collector should pick up A Portrait of Baseball Photography by Fogel, Yee, et.al.

Thanks and I completely agree with you on the book. I actual prefer RMY’s photo classification but we are talking about art so it is really semantic I suppose.

I agree with you. I like Rhys' photo classification better. The book has some really good information though.
