I've bought numerous things from the BST here, so have many other people. I understand having a bad experience, might turn you off from a seller, but that's no reason to disparage the entire forum. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, hopefully you'll have better ones in the future

The op seems extremely angry about this and it is getting very ugly. I didn’t see anyone being intentionally mean, I saw people who didn’t understand the post. I don’t see a woman with Down’s syndrome - I see an extremely popular and widely used photo of an old woman who is affectionately referred to as the “Wat Grandma”. Implying she had downs could be taken as offensive.

A free and better card to replace has been generously offered. I’m just wondering, what is the op trying to accomplish? What would you like to see done?

After all, we are in the middle of a global pandemic where people are dying and losing their jobs. it’s just a card. Let’s be thankful for what we have. Happy holidays to all.

Everyone is looking at the buyer how about looking at the seller also. Maybe the seller was looking for a way to not sell the card for the winning bid. Granted it is very poor but it is a 52 high number and a Yankees card. Could it be possible that he thought $20 was to low to let it go?
I do think it’s blown out of proportion that the card is coming from Canada and if you send money out of the country I’m always charged a fee even if it’s F&F but it can’t be very much for $20. Assuming the upset part comes from it really was needed in a certain time frame which probably wasn’t going to happen coming from Canada. For me I could care less if I get a card from Canada in a month or two days from in the US. It will come and I will get it and will make no difference in the long term.
To me I would like to know why I got a refund if I never asked for it?

Yes....that picture did the trick. Not every auction turns out bad. The guy was from Canada and you didn't want to risk sending F/F. I get that. For 3% more you can send stuff Goods & Services. Yes, it will take a bit to get the card....especially dealing with the problems we are seeing anyway, and even more so to it being international. Like someone else said....it is only a card, and a beat up one at that. There will be others.

The thing is I did pay him paypal gift
and the extra fee from bieng from Canada
which i did not mind either and clearly told
him I will wait the several weeks.
But when asked if the card never turns up
do i get money back then refunds me.
Why? I did everything correctly.
Maybe was meant to be to many red flags
not disclose he outside us why?

had down syndrome.
I was 6 years old he was 25
Today he is 55 but cant remember me.
