Here is one more image of Duffy, from 1910, looking nearly straight at the camera. It's clearly not him in the Providence photo; I'm wondering if this is some other Providence team, not the Providence (Rhode Island) Grays.

I would question a lot of these player ID's without supporting evidence vs "just looks like him."

There is no way that those are the same players. I do not understand how anyone could possibly say otherwise. Quite a few of the identifications in this thread seem like stretches to me.

Here's a fun one for you guys. I have no idea if this is Cobb and family, but the resemblance to Cobb, his wife, and all the kids is pretty amazing. It's also in Detroit and the postcard was made by the United News Company which was located in Detroit. The white border cards date from 1915-1930. Is it Cobb? Some day I hope a photo pops up to corroborate this but until then it's speculation.
