Mostly 1 and 2.

Think of it this way. For extended periods of time we were forced to be home in quarantine. I'd wager that the overwhelming amount of people that came back into/recently got into the hobby still had/have their jobs. All leisure activities had to be put on hold. Couldn't really go on vacation, why spend money on clothes when your in the house all day, can't go out to dinner, can't go to concerts, can't go to sporting events, major life milestones are being postponed as well such as weddings.

Now your stuck at home, you have all this money that you normally be putting into other things with nothing to do. It's the perfect excuse to get back into the hobby. The investment approach also hits. The market tanked in March. So people started looking into alternative places to invest their money.
