Default Love this set, too!

I just got a lot of 12 of these back from SGC grading... no major stars but I do have the Waner brothers in there. Grades run from 1-4.5. Considering selling but they don't seem too prevelant on ebay. If anyone is working on this set, let me know- happy to send pics and make a bundle deal!

I agree that the size detracts from their popularity, but the paper stock is the biggest factor as to why they’re not more popular, in my opinion.
They’re not cardboard cards.

Default Because they are Black and White?

Who wants B&W when you can have color? I soaked a group out of an album I picked up years ago and now have them listed on eBay. $2000 off for any net54 deal.

I think another factor in the discussion here is the difficulty of actually obtaining the cards, especially NM or better copies. It has been very frustrating to me, as I am sure it is to many collectors like me who enjoy instant gratification, to wait for many weeks or even months for a key card to come up for sale or auction. It has taken me four years to assemble a complete set in nice condition. Other popular sets all you need is $$$ and you can collect it all in fairly short order. The three very tough short prints (Hadley, Haines and Seibold) deter many from getting a complete set.

Whatever the reasons may be, I still think the Kashin Ruth is one of his most underrated cards, especially when it comes to image. He's got some real stinkers that sell for a ton (like that horrible holding bird e120).
