I'll break ranks and say it's a perfectly fine not spectacular auction considering the bar REA has set over the years.

I realize they are the gold standard and sucking up to them has a certain cultish panache on the board, but this seems to be lacking the ooomph factor.

Bring it on. I'm ready for it. . . . .

I don't pick on people who are having their period. Hang in there, it will pass.

The amazing thing I’ve discovered about auction houses over the years is that you can express your opinion about them, good, bad, or indifferent, and they are still very happy to take your money at closing time. And you don’t get a discount for blowing smoke up their ass either.

I agree Steve. I think 19th century this time around is weaker. Post war I have no idea as I don’t even look at the stuff.

REA is my favorite AH but, man, when does it reach the absurd? Over 730 pages and nearly 3,300 lots! Seriously?

Just imagine if all get paid for in the same week after it ends. I'd hate to be in line behind Brian at the Post Office when he goes to ship them.

Posting this to the memorabilia forum too, but I am very interested in acquiring any one of the 7 Federal League contracts comprising REA Lot #1719. If anyone is planning to bid on those, and would like to partner up and/or sell one off to make up some of the investment, please let me know!

There is A LOT going on right now in the vintage world.

HA, REA, Lelands and PWCC listing stuff on ebay every week.

It’s tough to focus and I feel like less eyes will be on items and less money will be spent because people’s minds can go 50 different places. Just my 2 cents.

I mean a t227 Cobb isn’t exactly super rare, but its not t206 common either. There are 4 currently in auction

+1
I'd be interested in Hendrix, Packard or Zeider contracts
