Thanks! I think the 72 Topps will always be my favorite because it was my first ever Mays but both this one and my 56 Topps are in my top favorite cards for sure!

The 1965 Topps #335 Mickey Lolich in my set binder is autographed, so a replacement was always a necessity. In looking to find an example in pretty nice shape on ebay, I realized that it was probably a better bet to just buy a graded one...and ran across this guy. It cost less than 1/10 of what straight PSA 9's have sold for recently, so I grabbed it. The centering on front is pretty fine by me, and the 'miscut' refers to the back bottom touching the border, which is also not a problem whatsoever...

Why does Mickey look like he's had 3 tequila shots right before his Topps photo shoot?

Mail day! Always liked this pose and the simplicity of the design.

Nice pick ups everyone.
That 57t Mays is not easy to find clean and centered, they have notorious snow issues. Picked up along my travels, this Banks is mesmerizing and goes well with that 63 Brock. 63 Fleer cards are undervalued right now so I just pick them up when they come along. Also, my centering OCD is getting worse...

Pretty 1963 Banks. Picked up my first 1949 Bowmans off of B/S/T.

Finally can post again on this thread. First vintage pickups in a while. I've never been into the graded thing and never owned anything graded (have never subbed either). But decided as I get older that vintage graded is kind of more stable than newer, modern stuff. So diving into it.

Bought 3 PSA cards off Facebook earlier this week, and they should be here tomorrow. Will post those when I get them.

But I also visited Bankston's in Waco yesterday. Great store and great owner. Brent told me he had some graded boxes in the back, so he went and grabbed them to let me look through them. Glad I did.

Decided to buy these 2 cards.

The new cornerstone of my entire PC. My most expensive card.

Also a nice RC of a non-HOFer, although this guy has a good case to be in there.

Also picked up a raw copy of one of my all time favorite cards (it was the first vintage card I ever saw back in 1992)

Nice Williams! I don’t own the #1, but a I do own a nice PSA 6 of the #250. I remember debating which one to get, and chose the 250 for whatever reason. Both great though!

These are the first 3 graded cards I bought. They came in today after I had purchased the ones I posted previously. These are the 3 that got my graded collecting started.

I actually bought the SGC because I liked the look of the cards in the black case. But I think I'm going to be selling it now because I am very CDO and love uniformity of having all PSAs.

I second the kudos for Bankston’s. Definitely give them you’re business. One of the big perks moving back to the Waco area.
