The body dimensions don't look like Hack.

As you mentioned, it could be a generic pose, but even then, those are usually based on someone.

Certainly, an interesting piece.

Everything about that piece screams actual photo to me. You know, all the nuances of the details in the pose and uniform, and his face looks 'real,' not at all ambiguous like an artistic rendering.

Edited to add: and I would bank on the fact he is a right handed batter.

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

Overpaying yesterday is simply underpaying tomorrow.

I think the biggest clue is the style of (full?) socks pictured. Those have got to narrow the date down. Any hosiery experts about?

Is there any indication of a logo or insignia on the hat? The area seems to be smudged out, but is there anything to be gleaned from having it in hand?

Going beyond the socks, he has some very impressive looking calf muscles. Almost appears that his calf muscles are larger than his thighs from the mid to lower section and the same size as his head!

I would have to see the piece in person but from the placement of the dots On figure and around Edges of the block, they look like they are holes for pins for a 2 piece plastic Or metal mold of some kind - just a thought
