Dealt with him several times in the 1980s and 90s always a great guest and fan friendly , and a fan favorite wherever the show was. First few times I saw him he wore a coat and tie during the signings , as did Joe D.
Good businessman on the business side of the shows and private signings also , always did what he said he would before the days of complicated card show contracts .
Let's see
Seaver
Gibson
Ford .
Helluva rotation up there now.

I bet I saw more Whitey Ford starts than any pitcher since. My father took me to nearly every Sunday doubleheader at Yankee Stadium for many years. He always seemed to be pitching.
RIP

A real dumpster fire and it's early October. Plenty of year left. RIP Whitey

Another sad day for baseball.

I will always think of Whitey and Mickey together.

Hard to believe it has been 25 years since Mantle died - seems like yesterday.

91. I mean, that cornfield in Iowa exists for a reason. We get only so much time. Tom, Bob and Whitey used their times well.

Once they were giants, now they are teammates once again.

Default Whitey

Whitey passed on October 8th...64 years to the day from Don Larsen's perfect game in 1956. He was warming up in the bullpen in case Larsen faltered in the 9th.
