Day 280 (October 6, 2020 – 280)
Maybe you need a way to get to the 1966 World Series played at Memorial Stadium. Well, no problem; here you have a 1966 World Series express bus pass advertising form from the Baltimore Transit Company which explains how to go back and forth to Memorial Stadium and have no parking problems and no traffic headaches. 1966 Baltimore Transit Company paper advertising Day 280 1966 World Series Express Bus Service.jpg Now you can’t just have a seat at Memorial Stadium for the 1966 World Series you “need” a clubhouse pass. Well, here you go… A 1966 Orioles World Series Clubhouse Pass Day 280 1966 WS Clubhouse pass.jpg 1966 World Series glass dish Day 280 1966 World Series glass dish Chrysler Corporation.jpg |

It's really difficult for me to realize that the last game at Memorial Stadium was 29 years ago today.
My good friend (RIP) worked for a radio station and had Press Credentials, so he had a professional photographer accompany him that beautiful day to capture some wonderful photos (here are just a handful): ![]() ![]() Fittingly, Brooks and John Unitas threw out the first pitch (using their respective balls) and if you refer to post 2147 where I showed a Panoramic Photo of all the players who came out onto the field afterwards, here is a view of what that looked like from above: ![]() ![]() And finally a photo of me (in the middle) and a couple of my good friends after it was all over (taken by an Usher):

This will be my last post for a few days, as I'm packing up the cars for the long trip to our winter home in Florida. We head out tomorrow morning. Not looking forward to the drive, but I don't miss the snow all winter.
![]() Since the theme the last couple days has been the 1966 World Series team, here are a couple more items from that year. 1966 Season Summary report 1966 Season Summary.jpg A couple more third party World Series scorecards 1966 World Series (News American).jpg 1966 World Series (Block Letters).jpg Menu from the Hit & Run Club 1966 Hit & Run Club Menu.jpg |

Day 282 (October 8, 2020 – 282)
I really like this advertising piece today that as put out after the 1966 World Series win. It’s a plastic National Bohemian Beer advertising sign with an easel back for display purposes. I posted a similar advertising sign from Clint’s (ksfarmboy) collection (post #377), but as you can see this example has the 1966 World Series crown along with the kingly robe. Mark,
Some nice World Series items. Here are a few more from that memorable series. The starting pitchers for the first World Series game played in Baltimore 1966 UPI Telephoto (World Series) BRPMS1532457.JPG I have eight different programs from the series. Here are a couple of the more unusual third party versions. 1966 World Series (Equitable Trust).jpg 1966 World Series (Team Photo).jpg Lastly, a media guide and hospitality card 1966 PressMedia Guide (World SeriesAL Publicity Office).jpg 1966 World Series Press Hospitality Room.jpg |
