I too thought the article was well-written and informative. However, when you see huge numbers like this you can't help but wonder: When is organized crime going to knock on the hobby's (industry's?) door and say, "I want a piece of the action." It concerns me greatly. We all love the hobby. We must stay diligent. When we see something fishy, we must say something. I do hope that I am way off base in my concerns. But I will still voice them.
Peace and stay healthy. |

Sports cards aren't worth crap compared to drugs. Gangsters are too busy whacking each other over drug money. They don't care about cards and they never will. |

Although I don't know how long this bubble will last, it makes me think of JFK's father famously saying, "When the shoe shine boy started giving me market advice I knew it was time to sell my stocks."
I think that the massive rush to auction is a sign that many people are hearing shoe shine boy's advice in every city.

A Wagner just sold for 3.25 million.
There are going to be plenty more eye popping results coming. |

You may not think of them as gangsters, but there are plenty already in the hobby. Manipulators aligned with doctors, shillers, and graders.....yup, gangsters
