Sure you can find pop reports on PSA website.
I love these cards and think they are really cool. But over the years I have been drowned out like 10-1 by board members who don't like them at all. I mean they are drawn by a former major leaguer. How cool is that? Nevertheless, there is muted demand for these cards. The cartoonish aspect just doesn't appeal to a lot of folks apparently. Not to beat a dead horse, but I think they are quite unique and special. Last year one of the AHs sold a near complete set and I should have grabbed it. |

I'd say they are very rare, though not particularly valuable relative to other things of the era.

[QUOTE=chalupacollects;2017988]And are they worth collecting?
Seem kind of high priced on ebay.... Thanks![/QUOTE Def rare and tough to find. You have to assume most people threw them out because of their design. Not a typical baseball card look. Similar to e91 caramel cards... the stars are undervalued because of the image. I think the Ruth and Gehrig schutter Johnson cards are a bargain. |

Major League "Secrets" Revealed
Here we have (one candidate to be viewed as) baseball's first "closer", being used as an example of how to throw a fastball that rises. It was a generally accepted fact among baseball scouts and other "experts" (probably still is) that a ball could be made to rise on its way to the plate. Physicists have discredited the notion, deeming it impossible in our universe. https://www.net54baseball.com/attach...1&d=1600268481 https://www.net54baseball.com/attach...1&d=1600268486 |

I love 'em. They can be found for reasonable prices if you are in no hurry to collect the set, though Gehrig will hurt.

I love the Ruth ones, but man they are plagued by severe miscuts and other issues.
