Same boat. I ripped wax 1981-1989, but was hooked on 1930s-60s early on. Since my son is into baseball, I get Topps Heritage as I like the look and feel of traditional cards. All the different makes and models, variations ect makes my head spin. I am buying some graded current RCs of top players with my son in mind.
Collect what you like, regardless of value. I'm not a set collector so individual players, vintage/modern, has narrowed my collecting down. |

Im 42, love the vintage pre war stuff, but been getting into the cards I chased as a kid in the 90s
Personally, I love the 90s inserts. Either from Skybox, Fleer, Upper deck. All very cool. |

I seem to change the way I want to collect more often than not. I'm in my mid 50s and love collecting Dodgers from 70s and 80s. I began collecting HOFs who have rookie cards from the 80s and 90s.
With that said, I keep finding my way to modern cards. For the past several years I have focused on only Dodgers, but with modern, I'm looking at branching out to some of the more young stars. Best of luck. BC |
