I picked up this hoover high school senior class ring several years ago... it belonged to Ted’s classmate Gertrude “Gertie” Delahay. Gertie’s Son called me a few weeks back to let me know that he came across his mom’s senior yearbook, and gave me first crack at it.

22' x 28" heavy cardboard stadium sign. It appealed to me because:
1) Yago Sangria! ![]() 2) the idea of drinking sangria at frigid Candlestick. 3) 1984 was the year of "Hang in There." They started giving out Croix de Candlesticks to any hardy souls who stayed till the end of extra inning night games.

![]() ![]() Dimensions: 21" wide x 19 1/2" tall framed (inside mat 10 1/2" wide x 9" tall) I was very pleased when this photo came yesterday of the famous Ward Brothers rowing family. I phoned a dealer from Massachusetts I usually see at the National and asked if he had anything for sale...He told me about this photo...I basically knew who the Ward Brothers were but started looking into them closer after he offered it to me. Once I got a good look at the image it had me...I feel like I got an important part of American rowing history. can not find another example. It's one of the classiest photos I own. It's just the way I like to get a photo...untouched from the 19th century....square nails in the back of frame and wavy glass! Image is high quality crisp and clear. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() http://web.colby.edu/crew/files/2010...ews-Thesis.pdf Excerpt from "A Social and Technical History of Rowing in England and the United States, by Stewart Stokes, 2000 ![]() More Reading: http://hiddenheritagecollections.org...ampion-rowers/
