Thank you. One of the 4 cards I started with the one in the middle... thought it would be a fitting handle as I begin my journey! It's a terrific name, as are many others from this era.

I’ve read “the players and their stories” and it’s a great encyclopedia. There’s a picture of every card in the set, along with a small bio on every player. Highly recommended.

It’s not a “book”, but Scot Reader’s “Inside T206” is my favorite treatise on the set itself

I recommend The Glory of Their Times to anyone who wants to learn about baseball's place in American culture. It is must reading for collecting t206's. I have also enjoyed SABR's Deadball Stars of the National League and its companion, Deaball Stars of the American League. These sorts of books tell you who was who, and who wasn't.
