Hi all,

Here is my addition! This postcard shows what is now Folsom Field on the campus of the University of Colorado. The image dates from 1925-1935 and can be narrowed down to the years of 1925-1929 based on aspects of the stadium that are, and are not present in the photo. Colorado opened what was then University of Colorado Stadium on 10/11/24 by stomping Regis 39-0 and was offically dedicated two weeks later on 11/1/24 as Colorado battled Utah to a 3-0 win.

When the stadium was constructed in 1924, it was barely ready for the team to move in, therefore it was not actually finished till sometime during the following year, in 1925. Most likley spring or summer when the running track was installed.

The postcard brand that is labled on the back is that of NOKO. NOKO produced this particular typer of postcard from 1907-1929. Being that the stadium was not completed with the track until 1925, we can date the image between 1925-1929. This very well may represent one of the first images of the 100% completed stadium.

Attached is the postcard as well as a photo of Folsom taken in July of this year. It is amazing how far CU athletics has come.
