1971 Mattel Instant Replay record player
In 1971, I received a Mattel Instant Replay record player for Christmas. I can't be the only person to remember these.
You inserted a plastic record into the player and an announcer replayed a highlight from the player's career. The records included players from different sports, including drag racing. I no longer have the record player, but found this picture online. I think the record players must have come in multiple colors, because I remember mine being blue. You received 4 records in the original box and could purchase additional packs of records. Mattel Instant Replay.jpg The only Oriole I'm aware of was Frank Robinson. If I remember right, his 500th HR was the highlight.
