I've been focusing on hall of famer (from all sports) autos on modern insert cards. This is one I should have gotten a long time ago, but I finally added a Kobe.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Kobe is most likely forged

Just got this one framed up. Happy to add a collection piece from one of my favorite books. - Harper Lee signed Excerpt and Gregory Peck signed check.

I would not disagree with Frank on this. There was some discussion on this card on page 2 of this thread: https://net54baseball.com/showthread...k+cards&page=2 They appear to have improved their FAKES. The four silver lines on each side are fairly the same length, though in the genuine ones the lines on the left are slightly longer at a measurable ratio which I will not put here. Also almost all of the basketball is showing. There is one clue that shows they are not perfect. The wording 'Ovation Signatures". In the genuine cards the end of the 'v' in ovation is just where the silver oval would cross the wording and the 'r' in signatures is completely inside where the oval would cross the word. These richardheads still screw that up. Those words are shifted about 1 mm to the right in the fakes.

The “K” also just looks off for this era of signature, which the loop of the “k” is at the top half of “l” in K. Every forged one I have seen gets it in the middle.

Yep...I see exactly what you guys are saying. The card I have does not match up with this card which I assume is a real one as it sold for over $6,000. I can clearly see that things are not lined up correctly. Hopefully my LCS guy will give me my money back.

Did this one sneak by Beckett? Has all the irregularities of the forgeries.
