Well that solves a bit of that mystery for me.
Years ago I helped at a Halls show at the table near the entrance where they sold their stuff but also the photos etc for the autographs. Under strict instruction that all walkins were to be sent to the dealers. (A pretty nice thing for a promoter to do actually) One of the people came in with some Ted Wiliams cards, mixed in were a few with plain blue backs. I've never seen any others until now.
