Man, I had forgotten about this thread. Glad I come across it again. Enjoyed catching up and congrats on almost being done.

I've started a 1957 Topps set. Only have about 275, but I'm going to need probably 25-30 upgrades (creases).

Thanks. I had been slacking off, so the thread had fallen to about page 3 of this board. I finally decided to start picking away again and get this over the finish line.

I'm going to work on '75 Topps next.

How's the '57 set going? I have stayed away from older sets so far based on the fact that cards are either going to be pricey and/or of a condition I'd not be thrilled about. Still, some of those sets are awfully pretty!

Back in the mid 80's at card shows and card stores in the Atlanta area 77 Topps Dale Murphy rookies were a minimum $50 in nice condition. I'll bet you didn't pay anywhere near that.

Ha ha...no, not quite $50. I just checked and I paid $6 plus $1 shipping.

I bought my PSA 8 graded copy in 2016 for $21.99.

How the mighty have fallen. A quick and sudden decline phase cursed Murph’s HOF chances, sadly.

So, that wraps this one up! The set is now complete with no more upgrades.

Total time spent on the project was just under 7 months.

Total spent on the set is....probably more than it's worth.
